Black Star Pastry at The Galeries (Sydney, AUSTRALIA) ★★★★☆

Following my short stint at Max Brenner Chocolate Bar, I have just one final destination left to hit before dinner. It's a place we've just visited a couple of days ago.

We swing by Black Star Pastry at The Galeries two nights ago but only to find that most of their pastries were sold out.

Much better luck this afternoon! We were trying to decide whether to lay our hands on something new like their Dragon Cake, with finely sliced dragon fruit layered on a delicate sponge with pineapple vanilla cream and pomegranate jelly ripples or go back to our old favorite, strawberry watermelon cake.

This branch of Black Star does not have any dine-in area but we were able to find one for ourselves in the cake pick-up area which was already closed at this hour.

Guess what we've gotten ourselves this afternoon?

Strawberry Watermelon Cake – Okay, we weren't very adventurous this afternoon so something safe (but yummy). Fresh watermelon, sliced strawberries, light rose scented cream and fragrant rose petals.

Black Star Pastry’s signature and most requested cake, according to the description on their official website. Wow, we could never get tired of this. Every layer has a different flavor and texture and each one meshes so well with others. Lifetastic in Hong Kong also carries a similar cake but somehow it doesn't have same perfect results.
