Harlan's Cake Shop (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★☆☆☆

Another month has breezed by and it was once again time to get my little nugget a new birthday cake (tenth one for his tenth month!). Honestly, I'm starting to run out of ideas but thankfully, I managed to pull one out of the bags just in the nick of time - Harlan's Cake Shop at The ONE.

 

There was a time that this cake shop has other affiliates by the name of a la folie patisserie at different locations in the city but looks like they're all history now.



Yo Man Yellow - This looks pretty plain right from the start. Very few garnish except for the tiny marshmallows on top.



A closer look revealed that this indeed looked like something made by an amateur baker.



The combination of lemon and tangerine yogurt was a bit weak, if you ask me. And it desperately needed something a little different in texture and flavor to make it worthwhile.
