6 of The Best Tiramisu Desserts to try in Seoul

Koreans are very passionate about their desserts, especially their tiramisu. Over the past few years, many dessert spots in Seoul have decided to transform this popular coffee-flavored dessert into something more. Here's a list of tiramisu desserts that you should consider trying in Seoul.

Kiss The Tiramisu
Starting off as a little counter shop in trendy Hongdae, Kiss The Tiramisu's road to stardom began with a social media frenzy and they further cemented their status as one of Hongdae's top dessert spots by featuring in the popular TV show "Tasty Road".

Primarily a one-trick pony, Kiss The Tiramisu's bread and butter is their signature tiramisu ice-cream (₩4,900) made with milk ice cream, mascarpone cream cheese, cookie crumbs and espresso. The whole thing is finished with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and chocolate shaving. If you have just enough time for one tiramisu dessert in Seoul, this is the one to try right now.

Tiramisu Bella
Like Kiss The Tiramisu, Tiramisu Bella specializes in tiramisu flavored ice-cream but they have four different flavors which are equally exciting. All four flavors including their signature tiramisu bella (which means original I guess?), tiramisu strawberry, tiramisu peach and tiramisu affogato (All priced at ₩4,900), are elegantly served in a gold rimmed wine glass identical to the ones from Kiss The Tiramisu.

Personally, I found the one at Kiss the Tiramisu to be a lot more flavorful and textural contrast was much better as well.

Tiraremisu
Another ice-cream parlour in Hongdae modeling after Kiss The Tiramisu, Tiraremisu also offers four different flavors of tiramisu ice-cream to choose from including original -(₩3,900), chocolate/berry/green tea (₩4,400). These are good alternatives to Kiss The Tiramisu's tiramisu ice-cream in case you ever get tired of it.

To The Different, The World Dessert Cafe
When I was visiting Seoul back in July, To the Different The World Dessert Cafe was promoting their tiramisu ice-cream but it was their tiramisu shaved ice that really caught my eyes. ₩11,500 for a bingsu is not cheap anyway you look at it but if you happen to have a serious obsession for tiramisu and Korean shaved ice, why not give it a try!?

Baek Mi Dang 百味堂 1964
Baek Mi Dang is very very good with their organic milk soft ice-cream but their modern take on the Italian classic tiramisu is also something to die for. A nice scoop of silky smooth soft ice-cream served with cocoa powder, mascarpone cream, some ladyfingers and expresso sauce sets you back ₩5,500 but trust me, it's the best ₩5,500 you will ever spend.

Lady M
Tiramisu is so popular in Seoul to a point that even New York based patisserie decided to launch a tiramisu flavored mille crêpes (₩7,500) that came with no less than 20 layers of paper-thin handmade crêpes. Personally, I found this to be a little too sweet but it should be perfect for any die hard fans of tiramisu.
