The Grilled 구이가 (Seoul, SOUTH KOREA) ★★★☆☆

Like any previous trips to Seoul, we tried not to be picky on our first supper. Just throw some charcoal grilled meat my way and I will be a happy camper. For a number of years, when I ever crave for charcoal grilled meat in Seoul, Hwaroyeon in Myeongdong would be the place to go but most recently, I've decided to move on and check other places out.

Tonight's pick was The Grilled (구이가), a traditional charcoal grill restaurant near Hongik University. That's where we would try our luck.

The Grilled (구이가) has quite a number of branches scattered around the city and this one in Hongdae is quite popular among university students.

They started us off with a small salad complimentary from the kitchen.

While pork belly is the restaurant's signature dish, we decided to go a different direction and check out the different kinds of beef available. This was pretty decent, especially considering that we were only paying around ₩10,000 per head.
