Hit The Spot Artisan Boulanger (Seoul, SOUTH KOREA) ★★☆☆☆

Finding a good French artisan boulanger in Seoul is always a tall task. It was good to hear that Gontran Cherrier has finally opened here but Seocho-gu was a little far from where we were staying and we had a little too much Maison Eric Kayser in Hong Kong already. After days of searching through the city, we finally managed to find Hit The Spot (힛더스팟) Artisan Boulanger very close to the Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Despite the very odd name, Hit The Spot has the making of a very decent artisan boulanger simply because of its wide variety of French bakery available.

But I didn't waste any time on their bread or pastry and went straight for their jumbo macarons (₩2,900 each). Pistachio has always been my favorite flavor when it comes to macarons (with salted caramel and earl grey being a close second and third).

This wasn't very good. The shell was a little hard and way too crunchy for me.
