Hanbing Korean Dessert Cafe (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★☆☆☆

Thanks to the Korean show "Running Man", I am getting to know more and more about the Korean culture every week. Even getting more curious about their food culture in recent years, which wasn't all that exciting to begin with. But it's slowly getting there.

Koreans are not really known for their desserts but at a time where the locals are so crazy about all the different Korean stuff, anything would catch fire. Take Hanbing Korean Dessert Cafe as an example, it's newly opened at Harbour City not long ago and it's already one of the hottest dessert bars in town.

After patiently waiting for a table at this "food court" style cafe for nearly 15 minutes, finally a vacant seat!

Of course, I had to tackle their signature dessert - Injeolmi red bean snow ice. This is really huge!

The snow ice flakes were so fine to a point that it actually felt like eating a cake.

The set comes with this black sesame ball which was really a bun with some kind of mochi on top. Some sesame powder, toasted almond and maple syrup helped to provide the finishing touches.

I can't believe I actually pick this nut smoothie over an Oreo smoothie. This is really disappointing! .....and the red bean paste was a bit weird going with the smoothie.
