Maison de Gigi (Osaka, JAPAN) ★★★☆☆

Maison de Gigi is a little café specializing in waffles that come with all kinds of different flavors. The fact that it's located inside the Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade and opens till late makes it a popular choice for both tourists and locals.



They also have a small shop on the ground floor for take-away orders.



As a matter of fact, we were actually coming here for their pancakes, not waffles but we were told that their pancakes were all sold out already (it was almost 10pm) so we had to change our game plan in a hurry.



At the end, I had the banana waffle with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.



I've always welcomed freshly made smoothies with open arms so this smoothie of mixed fruit was no exception.



A special note for travelers in Osaka: If you happen to be a tourist in the city, simply flash your passport to your server when you ask for the bill and you will be offered a 5% discount. I wish every restaurant shares the same policy!
