Greyhound Café (Bangkok, THAILAND) ★★★★☆

I don't recall seeing this area called Groove at CentralWorld when I last visited Bangkok in 2013. Is this place new?

It turns out that the space was carved out from a former office area and it's a relatively new expansion to this immensely popular shopping mall.

There are quite a number of very exclusive restaurants, bars and patisseries at Groove including Greyhound Café.

It's pretty obvious why we picked Greyhound Café as the place to have our first "official" meal on this trip - we absolutely love this place!

Greyhound Café is always known for its Thai cuisine with a twist and the best of all, unlike their branches in Hong Kong, prices are more than reasonable here.

I don't know exactly why they don't have this thai iced tea granite in Hong Kong but they have to do something about that

It's the perfect way to kick off any meal at Greyhound!

A meal at Greyhound is meaningless without their famous fried chicken wings (฿130). Each piece of these mini chicken wings are marinated in a special fish sauce before deep fried to perfection. It doesn't matter who I come to Greyhound with; we always fight over the very last piece (7/10).

The calamari fritti (฿120) or deep fried squid rings with soft batter is always a good way to plug the gap before our main courses arrive (5/10).

I am never a big fan of street food so this is really my first experience tackling one of Thailand's oldest street food - "Yum" (or Thai salad).

This salad (฿150) includes Thai celery, bean sprouts, crushed peanuts, dried chili flakes and chili vinegar with small slices of pork (4/10).

Greyhound Café offers a wide range of pasta and risotto, all of which comes with a modern Thai twist. My recommendation is to go with their spaghetti with crab meat in prawn cream sauce or spaghetti with prawns tossed in a spicy tomato sauce. Either one will make you a real happy camper!

I decided to go with the spaghetti with crab meat in a creamy prawn sauce (฿250). That was full of fresh lump crab meat (6/10).

If you're dining alone and desperate needed a companion, perhaps this is the table for you.

Our total damage was a very comfortable ฿950.
