Fauchon Paris (Bangkok, THAILAND) ★★★★☆

I am amazed how these French-based patisseries suddenly decide to 'invade' Bangkok all at the same time. First it was Ladurée and Paul and now Fauchon Paris is in the mix as well.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Groove@CentralWorld, Fauchon Paris has one of the most glittering interior design for a bakery café.

But trust me, Fauchon Paris Bangkok is far more than just a bakery café. On top of the usual bread and pastries, they also offer a wide selection of omelettes, sandwiches, salad and cold cut platters.

Fauchon's pastries are considered in the luxury category in Bangkok and they are indeed not cheap. However, considering the quality, this is well worth the heavy price tag. We had their Caractic (฿250) which was a delightful collection of crunchy speculoos praline, almond biscuit, light vanilla mousse and a caramel cream heart. It was so heart-warming.

For drinks, I managed to take a detour on their fruit and flower tea and went with their hot chocolate. It was surprisingly light (comparing to say Angelina).

On our way out, we passed by the bakery section again and couldn't help but noticed these colorful croissants. We brought the pistachio one back for midnight snack and it was an absolute masterpiece.
