Street Meat (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

Street Meat has been around for almost 4 months now and from what I've heard from my circle of friends, the reviews aren't exactly raving.

There's no signage at the front but finding the place should never be an issue - simply look for New York’s iconic Prince Street subway station on Wyndham Street and you will find it in a heartbeat.

As usual, I headed straight to the bar area to get a closer look at the open kitchen.

The space is nicely decorated like the interior of a subway station.

Even the food menu looks like a subway map. To make things even more interesting, all 10 items on the menu were named with a subway station. Talk about matching the theme.....

Upper West "Atomic" Wings ($55), 3.5/10
Chicken wings were slow-cooked for hours before being deep fried into this golden brown color and served with a spicy sauce and charred scallion sour cream.

I thought they had something going there but evidently that was not the case after just my first bite. This was really bland.

Prince Street Station Sliders ($75), 4/10
Another neatly designed dish with Wagyu beef tongue, foie gras and toasted bun that looked good on paper but didn't come to fruition.

32nd St "K-Town" Ramen Burger ($68), 7/10
The signature dish and "poster boy" of Street Meat here. Wagyu beef bulgogi, fried ramen buns and spicy kimche. A highly innovative dish and it's a very good one.

Upper East Macaron Sandwich ($55), 4/10
Fast forward to dessert now, we had the one and only dessert here - Upper East Macaron Sandwich and today's flavor was pistachio. A little disappointed that it was too sweet and too artificial.
