School Food (Seoul, SOUTH KOREA) ★★★☆☆

Five months ago, the name "School Food" was still somewhat of an unchartered territory for me but ever since they opened their first shop in Hong Kong this August, I have become an expert.

As it turns out, not only is the franchise expanding in Korea at an exponential rate, they have also landed safely in United States (LA), Thailand, Indonesia and Japan in recent times.

This Myeong-dong location is also a relatively new one and it's conveniently situated near the shopping streets.

What people love about School Food is their upscale cafeteria vibe to go with their modern take on Korean street food.

One of their most popular dishes is the mari or Korean-style sushi. There are quite a number of flavors but if you have problem picking one, simply take the mari platter like we did!

Their Korean rice cakes or topokki is almost as popular as their mari. This time, we decided to ditch my personal favorite carbonara topokki and go for their traditional topokki with red soy bean paste. Wow, this tasted as hot as it looked! Some ice water please...
